Will’s Cut Golden Bar, a product of a bygone age (in the UK, at least). The advice is also from a bygone age, when pipe smoking was a sign of manhood, and smoking a routine sight in British offices.

The current vogue for shows set in offices from the past amuse me, as everything looks so clean. No doubt office furniture from that era was stained and stinky! Not to mention the people. Blegh.

I’ve only ever worked in one office where smoking was permitted. It was *awful*. I was a smoker then, and it was still awful. Thick clouds of smoke in airless rooms, no breaks for a ciggy so no escape from the computer… it’s also impossible to type and smoke a cigarette at the same time. I lasted 2 weeks. Thankfully, no pipe smokers there. That would’ve been a nightmare.
