This reminds me of Simon Hoggart’s diary in the Saturday Guardian in that I don’t really understand this writer’s remit. Presumably she hasn’t been hired solely in order to write puff pieces for her own publications?

(Not saying that’s what Hoggart does, merely saying the purpose of his diary, in the news section, has always baffled me.)

Of course, they could have just published the recipe for breakfast rolls in Woman’s Weekly. It’d take up a fraction of the space of the above. Oh, but then they’d lose out on all of those thrupenny stamps – silly me!
