Mr Therm

Woman's Weekly: 27th July 1957

To continue the gas theme: the Gas Council were certainly busy in 1957, weren't they? What really intrigues me, though, is 'Mr Therm and the Whispering Fish invite you to Fish Week at the Tea Centre, Regent Street, SW1.' Eh?

"Mr. Therm & The Whispering Fish." Now I know what the backing vocalist credit will be on the next vanity 78 I have cut.

Bloody hell. Of course Fish Week at the Tea Centre! It was later the Ceylon Tea Centre, it was still going when I worked around there in the early '90s but the cafe had gone by that time - I used to buy loose Nuwara Eliya.

I'd forgotten that you're the go-to-girl for this sort of thing! Thanks!
