The Art of Canned Food Cookery

Heh. This reminds me of the book of Microwave Cookery that my parents got with their Panasonic microwave in the early 90s, and I don't recall the pictures looking particularly inviting in that book, either. Fresh is the order of the day at the moment, of course, although it's wise to note that a lot of 'fresh' products may not actually be that fresh at all, and preservatives are added to lengthen shelf life. It may well be that you're better off with frozen food for some items. Read the labels, folks.

This might sound a bit wrong, but all that food looks great to me... but then I *adore* canned fruit cocktail, condensed milk and was regularly fed corned beef as a child ;)

82-84 Peckham Rye! Ah, more innocent days, before out-of-town enormodomes to handle mail requests. And nice wonky perspective on the coupon too.

Corned Beef Alaska sounds like corned beef hash without the mixing, really. It's like a Delia Smith wet dream.

We had one of those panasonic microwave books too. The stuff looked arguably even worse than this.
